Chelsea's new head coach Mauricio Pochettino has decided on the player around whom he plans to build the team, Marca reports.
The Argentine coach told the club's management that he would like to keep Kai Havertz in the squad despite the interest from Real Madrid. The forward is expected to receive an offer to extend his contract until 2028.
Last season, Havertz played 47 matches for Chelsea in all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing one assist.
