England West Ham head coach David Moyes has shared his expectations for the Conference League final against Italy's Fiorentina.
"A disappointing 2021/22 Europa League semi-final? It hasn't gone to waste. When you realise you are fighting for the Europa League final, you think: Wow, that's a fantastic result for any coach. We played against very strong teams last season and to be honest I think it was the best moment for us as a team. Last year we played really well and in the semi-finals we lost to a really strong opponent, Eintracht, who ended up winning the tournament.
This year we have probably brought in more players and therefore the squad is stronger. I would not say that it was easier for us, but we won the matches. A slightly stronger squad this year has probably enabled us to go a little further in the tournament," the official UEFA website quotes Moyes as saying.
It must be recalled, the final of the Conference League will take place today, June 7 in Prague. The kick-off time is 22:00.
