British journalist Piers Morgan, who is also an Arsenal fan, gave his opinion on Russia's war against Ukraine.
"Something extraordinary is happening now in Ukraine. Russia with its army should have carried out the Kremlin's plans in three days. As every expert said, Ukraine will disappear from the map. The Russians bombed refugee depots, maternity hospitals, housing blocks and city after city. The Russian flag was becoming a symbol of genocidal conquest. They turned Ukraine into a hell on earth.
But things had changed. Ukrainians fought the Russians as they met tanks. Putin's war machine has begun to disintegrate. We hear of a Ukrainian counter-offensive. And one has to wonder what that means. Ukraine is now ready to strike back.
Experts say it won't end without compromising on the country's territory by giving up parts of Russia. But why should they do that? How would we react if Russia did it here in our country? Have we forgotten? We need to learn the lessons of history. Ukraine has to win this war. Win it for freedom and democracy - and we must help it to do so on its terms. Not on Putin's terms," Morgan wrote on his Twitter page.
