On 7 June, the training camp of the Ukrainian national team, which will prepare for the final tournament of Euro 2023 U-21, began in Austria.
On Wednesday, the team's coaching staff and a group of players from Uzhhorod reached Vienna via Kosice, after which they took a bus directly to the delegation's location in Styria (a federal state in southeastern Austria).
The legionnaires joined the team already in the Alpine country, and last night Ruslan Rotan had 24 performers at his disposal. Amid the exhausting journey, the team held a light recovery session, combining it with a run and exercises in the fitness room.
It is worth noting that Volodymyr Yezerskyi will join the coaching staff during the training camp in Austria to work with the defenders. On 16 June, Serhii Kravchenko will join Ruslan Rotan's assistants.
It is known that our team will hold two sparring matches during the NTZ. On 13 June, the youth national team of Ukraine will meet their peers from Kuwait (match starts at 19:00 Kyiv time), and on 16 June they will play Ireland (19:00).
The official application of the youth national team of Ukraine for Euro 2023 will include 23 players, and the list may also include those players who have been called up for the June training camp of the national team of Ukraine.
In June, the youth national team of Ukraine will take part in the final tournament of Euro 2023 U-21. A total of 16 teams will take part in the forum, which will take place from 21 June to 8 July in Georgia and Romania. As a result of the draw, which took place on 18 October last year in Bucharest, the Blue and Yellows were drawn into Group B, where they will meet Romania, Spain and Croatia. The three best teams at Euro 2023 (except France and England) will receive tickets to the 2024 Olympic Games.
