As previously reported, Dinamo Kyiv head coach Mircea Lucescu has found himself in the sphere of interest of Romanian Cluj. And this situation has developed.
Yesterday Cluj officially announced their separation from their now ex-head coach Dan Petrescu, under whose guidance the team not only failed to defend the league title, but also finished only third.
Meanwhile, according to Romanian Pro TV, on the same day, Cluj president Nelutsu Varga personally met with Lucescu and offered him the vacant position as head coach. It is reported that the Romanian club boss is ready to wait for an answer from Dinamo's mentor only until the end of today.
Also, according to Romanian sources, Lucescu has received two more offers, from unnamed clubs in Bulgaria and Turkey, but in this case the 77-year-old is seen as a technical (sporting) director.
