"We were not favourites, and everyone knew it. However, the comparison with Inter is not entirely accurate, because Manchester City do not play at their home stadium, and Simone Inzaghi can rely on all his players. Pep Guardiola has an incredible team, but Inter have a chance. My Chelsea experience taught me that with motivation, anything is possible.

Guardiola is more than a coach, he is a visionary. However, Pep knows how competitive the Italians are and is afraid of us. It is difficult to play against him. He puts quality in every system and changes when you don't expect it. Before the 2012 semi-final, we watched dozens of Barcelona games, trying to understand their weaknesses. We thought of all possible solutions. But then what looked impossible on paper changed in reality," Di Matteo was quoted as saying by Football Italia.
