Germany v Ukraine: referees. The field referee will referee Ukraine for the third time

The officiating line-up for the friendly match between Germany and Ukraine to take place next Monday, June 12, in Bremen has been announced.

All the referees will be representing Greece. The on-field referee is Anastassios Sudiropoulos, who has been a FIFA referee since 2011.

The 43-year-old referee has officiated the Ukrainian national team matches twice before. Recently, on September 27 of the previous year Soudhiropoulos officiated the game of the Nations League Ukraine vs Scotland (0:0). In that encounter, the Greek showed six yellow cards: four to the Ukrainian players and two to the Scottish ones. In the 2018/19 season the Greek worked at the Ukraine-Slovakia Nations League match (1-0).

Sudiropoulos is also familiar with Ukrainian football at club level. In particular, he officiated Shakhtar Donetsk five times, and Dinamo Kyiv and Luhansk Zorya once each.

The linesmen for Germany v Ukraine will be Reinhard Buxbaum and Hasan Kula.

It should be added that the video assistance system of VAR will be involved in the game as well.
