Josep Guardiola, Manchester City head coach:"I think the script for this final was written in heaven. I'm happy, but at the same time they could have scored and we could have lost. We are very pleased with ourselves. We made a golden hat-trick. It is a unique achievement. I want to congratulate Inter on a great game. I know how they feel now. We felt the same way two years ago. But they're the second team in Europe, that's great. "Real, don't relax - we have 13 fewer cups, but we're coming after you."

Simone Inzaghi, Inter head coach:"I congratulated my guys. They played beautifully. We lost a final we wanted to win at all costs, but they should be proud of themselves. I wouldn't trade these players for anything and today the whole world saw why. We held firm against a very strong team. We have a lot to be proud of, but we can be proud of ourselves.

I would like to hug every Inter fan, just like my guys. They are amazing. They are always with us. That's football. Failures like this make you stronger. I still can't understand how we didn't score at the end of the match. We clearly deserved more. We should have done a bit more to make the final work in our favour.
