Barcelona midfielder Frankie de Jong is disappointed that the club has not been able to agree on the return of Lionel Messi.
"I think every team would like to have Lionel in their squad because he makes a difference anytime, anywhere. It's a pity he didn't come to Barcelona. I would like to see him return to the highest level. Now we will see who will join and who will leave," De Telegraaf quoted the Dutchman as saying.
It will be recalled that the Barcelona board held talks with Messi's representatives, but no agreement was reached on the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner's return to the Camp Nou.
