London's Arsenal and Ukraine national team midfielder Oleksandr Zinchenko has spoken out about the war being waged against Ukraine by the stinking sub-country called "Russia" for the second year in a row.
"The hatred towards the Russians, which appeared immediately after their invasion of Ukraine, of course, has not gone anywhere. It's daily. I'm angry every single day because I really want to know what they're doing - for what? To win what?
I've never been in this situation in my life - like the rest of us - no one could have expected what happened in 2022.
Lots of questions in my mind, but the main ones have been clear for a long time. What can I do to help? What can I do? What can we send to help the Ukrainian army and Ukrainians? Unfortunately or fortunately, I am already used to this post-invasion routine, so is my family.
All of us Ukrainians are in these realities. I see how much we help each other. But it is nothing compared to what our army is going through on the hot front, what our defenders are going through, constantly risking their lives, defending our independence, our freedom. For me it is impossible to compare.
Sometimes people ask me: "Why are you doing all this? You have a family to take care of". But I have a daughter who is almost two years old. I hope to have another child soon. And when they grow up, I want to know my answer to their question like this: 'Daddy, when there was a war in our country, what did you do - how much did you help people?' I just want to be able to look my children in the eye and say: "Me and your mum, we tried our best to help in any way we could."
Yes, my daughter is only two years old now and it's hard to explain things to her. But in the future I will tell her the truth. The truth that, unfortunately, we have bad neighbours," Zinchenko told the Mirror.
