Oleg Fedorchuk: "Rebrov sets the game based on the players' capabilities, he was flexible in all the teams he coached"

Renowned coach and expert Oleh Fedorchuk told us how Serhii Rebrov began to improve the game of the Ukrainian national team, particularly in attack.

- "Our teams, under any coach, have not had a very good offence. That is, Ukraine normally plays against equals, or against teams stronger than itself. Then the players can run out in attack. When you need to organise an attack against weaker teams, it's always a problem. Now Rebrov has tried to make some changes to use Yarmolenko and Tsygankov at the same time, and it's interesting: because we should see these two and Mudryk together on the pitch more than once, we need to learn to use their best qualities together.

Rebrov sets up the game based on the capabilities of his players. Rotan, on the other hand, tried to set up a game that is not typical for this squad. To take the ball away from the goal through short and medium passes. No one plays like that in our league. And it didn't work against England. Serhii Rebrov was flexible in all the teams he coached. In Hungary, for example, he adapted quickly. He builds the game depending on the players at his disposal," Fedorchuk was quoted as saying byUF.
