Stefan Ristovski, defender and captain of the Northern Macedonian national team, talks about today's encounter with Ukraine in the Euro 2024 qualifying round.
"Even though they are not the main favourites in our qualifying group, the Ukraine national team plays some great football. We played them at UEFA EURO 2020 and they played two different halves. We made mistakes for which the opponents punished us.
If we want to get a result in the match against Ukraine, we will have to play to the maximum and show our perfect game. If we want to achieve something, we cannot just defend, we have to do something offensively, try to control the ball as much as possible.
Anything is possible in football. We need maximum concentration from the first minute until the last one. We are ready and I hope that with the support of the fans, who will push us forward, we will achieve a positive result," Ristovski said at the pre-match press conference.
