According to Belgian newspaper Nieuwsblad, goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois did not turn up on Sunday at the hotel of the team preparing for tomorrow's game against Estonia. The goalkeeper is unhappy with the Red Devils' captain's armband situation.
Following Eden Hazard's departure, new coach Domenico Tedesco has appointed Kevin de Bruyne as captain. However, the Manchester City midfielder is currently out injured. Against Austria, Romelu Lukaku came on with the armband, and Tedesco announced that Courtois would be captain for the next match against Estonia.
However, Courtois was furious when he saw Lukaku get the armband and expressed his displeasure in the dressing room and did not turn up at the team hotel the next day. Courtois' absence is officially attributed to a "minor injury".
