Former Dynamo Kyiv forward, and now a well-known football expert, Viktor Leonenko commented on the victory of the Ukraine national youth team over Croatia (2-0) at UEFA EURO 2023.
"Is it U-21 for sure? I thought it was my veteran team, only I have a quicker pass to each other. I only had patience for the first half. First, we were walking, Kaschuk showed individual skills, scoring a goal.
I now understand why no one grows. They have snot under their noses, and they`re already walking. What can you learn, if you have three hours to make a decision. They must have run 100 kilometres in that time. Why haven`t I watched the second half? It`s not about what someone wins or loses, it`s about how they play. We already have world champions. Where are they?! That's what we need to think about. There's a need for demands.
I want these guys to be good, but what is the use of those victories if they do not grow further. Where are the stars? They just appoint themselves", - Leonenko said on Telegram.
