Former Shakhtar Donetsk attacking midfielder Dmytro Bilonog has spoken about his relationship with former Ukraine youth national team head coach Oleksandr Petrakov.
"We had a great relationship, I liked him and it was obvious. Sometimes we could quarrel and even shout at each other. More, of course, he shouted at me. I was offended. However, we had a good understanding. We communicated not only as a player and coach, but also as friends.
In 2015, I refused to extend my contract with Shakhtar. Petrakov called me then and asked how I was doing and why I didn't extend the contract. He said: "Don't make a fool of yourself, sign it and let's go and conquer the world". I had already been running around in circles rather than training normally by then, and he had doubts about my form," Bilonog said.
