Shakhtar's Brazilian winger Tete, who spent the second part of the 2022/23 season at Leicester but has already left the Foxes' camp, could stay in Foggy Albion.
Celtic are keen to acquire Tete as a potential replacement for Liel Abadah, who could switch to another club this summer.
Tete's contract with Shakhtar is valid until 31 December this year. Thanks to the prolongation of Annexe 7 by FIFA, the Brazilian can unilaterally sign labour agreements with any of the foreign clubs for the next season. This means that the Pitmen are unlikely to receive any compensation for Tete's departure.
In the 2022/23 season, Tete played for Lyon and Leicester in 33 games (7 goals and 5 assists).
