The Portuguese club's owners are planning to pay around €75 million for the 23-year-old goalkeeper. It is expected that the Londoners can split the payment into three parts, which will include the first tranche of 25 million.
Last season, Costa played 33 matches for Porto in the Portuguese league, keeping his goal dry in 17 of them.
