Razvan Lucescu: "I owe my transformation from 'Lucescu's son' to my new coach, Razvan Lucescu, to this club"

Current PAOK Greek coach Razvan Lucescu, son of Dynamo Kyiv head coach Mircea Lucescu, spoke about an important moment in his coaching career associated with his father.

"I like to say that my entire childhood is linked with Dinamo Bucharest, because my father was in that club - he played and then coached it. I used to go to the team's matches.

But another club played a defining role in my career. As I grew up, it became more and more important for me to form an independent personality as a coach, I wanted to stop being perceived as just "Mircea Lucescu's son". And I owe this transition of the eternal boy to a new coach - Razvan Lucescu - to Rapid, it was here that this important transformation for me took place", the Romanian media quoted Lucescu Junior as saying.

It should be added that Razvan Lucescu first took charge of Rapid in 2004, at the age of 35.
