Oleksandr Andrievsky: "We have only one expectation from the new season - the return of the championship"

Dynamo midfielder Oleksandr Andrievskyi shared his expectations from the start of the new season after undergoing a medical examination.

- Alexander, congratulations on your birthday yesterday!

- Thank you for the greetings. I'm a year older now, probably more experienced. We'll see how it goes.

- How was your holiday?

- I spent the whole holiday in Kyiv, in a calm family atmosphere, nothing special happened.

- What are your hopes for the new season?

- Only one - to take first place and regain the championship.

- Before last season, there was a lot of talk about achieving results. What conclusions did you draw for yourself?

- First of all, I asked myself what I did wrong. I will need to correct my own mistakes that I made during the last season. I also think every player has to draw conclusions for themselves and not repeat mistakes in the future.

- Not much time has passed since the end of the season. Was it enough to approach the current preparatory period with new emotions?

- In principle, three weeks was enough. As far as I know, some teams had only two weeks off, so we have nothing to complain about. We were given a programme of individual training, as is customary, so we kept fit on our own.

- Do you have any information about the upcoming training camp?

- I just heard that we will be preparing in Austria, we have seven matches to play, and we already know that the first three opponents are of a high enough level. So it should be interesting.

- The national team played the qualifiers for Euro 2024, and now the youth team is playing in the final tournament of Euro 2023. Do you follow the performance of our national teams?

- Yes, of course. Both teams are performing very strongly, the youth team continues to play at Euro 2023, so we are rooting for them. Despite the fact that the guys who play for the national teams will join us only at the training camp, I still think it is a huge plus for the club that its representatives represent the country's honour in the international arena. The more such players there are, the better it will be for the club.
