Goalkeeper of the youth national team of Ukraine Anatolii Trubin spoke together with head coach Ruslan Rotan at a press conference on the eve of the Euro 2023 U-21 match against Spain, which will take place on 27 June in Bucharest.
- You played three matches for the national team and two for the youth team. How do you manage to recover? Is there a certain exhaustion due to such a schedule?
- I love playing football, so it's a pleasure for me. The more games I play, the better it is for me. Of course, you need to recover. We have our masseurs, various vitamins, and the simplest thing is sleep and proper nutrition. There are no problems with this. I am ready to play as many more matches to win and continue playing for the national team.
- The Ukrainian national team has already reached the quarter-finals. Do you feel somewhat relaxed or do you remain focused?
- When you play against a team like Spain, I don't think there can be any relaxation. Of course, there is no longer such psychological pressure, but we all want to play our own football. In the confrontation with the top team, the result of our work, what we are made of, will be visible. It will be a good opportunity to prove ourselves. It will be a very interesting match, we are determined to do our best.
- You have played against Spanish teams in the Champions League. Other players of the Ukrainian national team also had similar experience. Can this help you in any way?
- I believe that matches against Real Madrid in the Champions League generally help your career development. Playing against the best teams in the world is everyone's dream. Of course, these matches will help, but they are not a factor for victory. You need everyone to tune in as much as possible and be as one.
