The Ukrainian Premier League traditionally conducts a survey of clubs that name its heroes at the end of the season - the best coach, best referee, best player, best goalkeeper and best young player.
Based on a survey following the results of the 2022/23 season, UPL clubs recognised Kateryna Monzul, a representative of Kharkiv, as the best referee of the Ukrainian championship. This is her third victory.
Representatives of seven clubs voted for Monzul, five of which put her in first place. Vitalii Romanov came the closest to her in terms of the number of mentions in the questionnaires (six), but he only received the number one spot twice.
In the 2022/23 season, Monzul and Romanov played the most matches in the UPL - 16 each. Anatoliy Abdulla has 9 games, Yaroslav Kozik - 13, Oleksandr Shandor - 12.
