The mayor of the Romanian town of Hunedoara, where Corvinul are based, Dan Bobutanu has clarified the situation with talks on a sparring match between the team and Dynamo Kiev.
- Indeed, there are talks on a friendly with Dynamo Kyiv. But we cannot organize it now, in July, because Mr Lucescu's team training camp has already been planned. But we are not abandoning the idea! We want Mircea Lucescu and Dinamo Kyiv to come to Hunedoara for a friendly match in September, when the championships are on break for the national team matches," said the mayor for ProSport.
