After signing a five-year contract with Dynamo, centre-back Maksym Dyachuk shared his impressions of the pleasant event.
- I am very happy to sign a contract with such a great club, I will do my best and make every effort to be useful to the team. I am grateful to the coaching staff and the club's management for their trust in me. I promise to give 100% in games and training sessions.
- What are your personal and team goals for the upcoming training camp and the new season?
- For the team, these are always the highest results, and we will try to bring back the gold medals of the championship and the Ukrainian Cup to Kyiv. We will do our best to achieve this. As for personal goals, I want to make progress compared to last season, because I know I made mistakes, both big and small. I will work to correct them and draw the right conclusions.
- After returning from a loan spell at Oleksandriia in the winter, you immediately became a member of the first team, do you feel the coaching staff's trust?
- Yes, I do feel trust, and I am grateful to the coaches for that. My coaches give me a lot in terms of football, and I listen to their advice. After almost every game, we have conversations, theoretical lessons, etc. In addition, the coaches come up and give me a lot of personal advice - both pointing out mistakes and emphasising good points.
- The position of centre-back is very responsible, and mistakes are noticeable . Is the training camp the best period to improve your level of play and learn something new?
- That's exactly what the training camp is for - for us to train, prepare and practice our skills, improve our abilities and implement it in official matches. During the upcoming training camp, as I said, I will work on correcting the mistakes I made last season and preventing them in the future.
- We already know a few opponents in Austria, is it good when you plan to play a lot of control matches?
- Matches are not training sessions, of course, but sparring matches are more responsible, because you transfer what you have learned and practised in training to the pitch. This is very important. We do not divide matches by status - friendly, training or otherwise. Every match is very important.
