Kyiv Dynamo Kyiv defender Konstantin Vivcharenko is in the sphere of interest of Portuguese Porto.
The Dragons' scouts have been following the 21-year-old's U-21 appearance for the Ukraine U-21 team and they are satisfied with his performance. Porto representatives like the efficiency of the Ukrainian defender and his ability to work on the whole wing. Porto believe that Vivcharenko can develop his talent and reach a high level.
"Porto needs reinforcement at the left-back position. The current players in this position do not suit the club. The Brazilian Wendell, who will turn 30 in July, is the main man in that role, so he will no longer be able to progress. As a mature player since moving from Bayer, he has performed rather mediocrely, according to experts. Zaidu Sanusi of Nigeria, 26, has been named as Porto's rotation player.
Porto have been eyeing Vivcharenko since his Champions League qualifier against Benfica. So the Ukrainian defender is one of the candidates for the position of Porto's left-back. Much will depend on Wendell, who must decide on his future.
It should be noted that Vivcharenko recently signed a contract with the CSM Sport & Entertainment agency, which has connections in Portugal and France.
