The former head coach of Dynamo Kyiv, Oleksandr Khatskevych, spoke about the difficulties of finding a job with a Belarusian passport.
After the war broke out in Ukraine, a number of countries, including the European Union, introduced sanctions against citizens of Russia and Belarus. The victim of this decision was Khatkevich. With the Belarusian passport the specialist cannot open a work visa in order to work in the EU.
"I can't get a work visa in the EU. I had a couple of offers from Poland, but the sports director called, apologised and said: "We just can't get you a work visa. It is very difficult to get legalized in Europe, regardless of the position.
Does it tie my hands too much? If I want to work in Europe in my profession, yes, but I won't change my Belarusian passport. Today there are offers, but I need to approach it thoroughly," Khatkevich said in an interview with Sport Arena TV.
