Petr Cech to play in charity match in support of Ukraine

The legendary former Chelsea and Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech will be another participant in the charity match of Game4Ukraine in support of Ukraine to be held at Stamford Bridge, London.

It was previously reported that Ukrainians Yevhen Konoplyanka, Oleh Luzhny and Yevhen Levchenko will play in the match. Serginho, Shota Arveladze, Massimo Oddo and David James will also feature in the match.

It should be recalled that Antonio Valencia, Christian Panucci, Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink, Jermain Defoe, Glen Johnson, Mark Noble, Martin Skrtel and Danny Drinkwater will also take to the pitch.

As previously announced, the charity match in London will feature former Barcelona defender Gerard Pique, Dutch and AC Milan legend Clarence Seedorf, 2006 Ballon d'Or winner Fabio Cannavaro, England legends David Beckham and Rio Ferdinand, former French player Patrick Vieira and other famous names.

Former Arsenal players Jens Lehmann, Bacary Sanja, Jack Wilshire, Gaël Clichy, Per Mertesacker and the Frenchman Robert Pires will also be playing in London.

Andriy Shevchenko and Oleksandr Zinchenko will captain the teams for the charity match. Arsene Wenger, the legendary French coach and former coach of London's Arsenal, will be the head coach of Zinchenko's team.

The charity match is scheduled for August 5 in London. Its goal is to raise funds to rebuild the Mykhailo-Kotsyubinsk Lyceum in Chernihiv Region, which was destroyed by the occupiers in March 2022.
