The president of Catalan club Barcelona, Joan Laporta, has made it clear that the Blaugrana are still paying Lionel Messi's salary.
- We will make a great farewell for Lionel. It would be perfect to do it at the opening of the new Camp Nou. We have to pay his salary until 2025, as he postponed it under the previous board," said Joan Laporta.
As a reminder, Lionel Messi left Barcelona in the summer of 2021. The Argentine joined PSG as a free agent.
