Serhiy Rafailov, the former general director of Luhansk-based Zorya, has been reported on suspicion in a case of deliberate tax evasion of over UAH 5m, the official website of the Luhansk regional prosecutor's office has reported.
According to investigators, in 2019 the figure carried out an understatement of tax liabilities of football club "Zorya" in the amount of more than 5 million UAH. According to his instructions, the tax records showed expenses for services for the search and conclusion of contracts with two players, which were not actually provided.
For illegal actions, the offender faces a fine of ten thousand to fifteen thousand untaxed minimum incomes of citizens with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.
