Van der Sar remains in intensive care

Former Ajax, Juventus, Manchester United and Dutch national team goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar was in intensive care the day before due to a brain haemorrhage.

According to the latest information announced by the press service of Ajax on behalf of the wife of the former goalkeeper Annemarie van der Sar, Edwin remains in intensive care unit. His condition is stable but remains a concern.

It is noted that van der Sar's family are "grateful and deeply affected by the many statements of support".

It should be recalled that Edwin van der Sar worked at Ajax after his career as a footballer, first as head of marketing and then as the club's general manager. Shortly before being taken to hospital Edwin left his post at the Amsterdam club.
