Shakhtar goalkeeper Andriy Pyatov has retired from playing and joined Patrick van Leeuwen's coaching staff. This was reported by the official telegram channel of the Donetsk club.
"Shakhtar captain Andriy Pyatov has retired as a footballer and joined the Pitmen's coaching staff. On 6 August, the goalkeeper will play his farewell match against Tottenham in London.
Andriy Pyatov has played 482 matches for Shakhtar, the third most in the club's history and the highest number of games among goalkeepers. Together with the team, he won 28 trophies - and this is the club's all-time record!" the statement reads.
