The second week of Dynamo Kyiv's training camp in Austria has begun. On Monday, the White and Blues held a morning training session in the gym. There, the players performed a set of strength exercises aimed at training different muscle groups. For this purpose, the Dynamo players were divided into several groups, with one group doing stretching outdoors and the other group doing strength exercises in the gym.
Igor Horbach, who had been injured after the first match of the training camp, was working out under a separate programme in the gym. In a few days, the young striker will return to the field and start running work.
Meanwhile, Serhiy Buletsa has already returned to the general group. During the evening training session, which took place on the football pitch, Buletsa took part in all the game exercises without restrictions.
Andrii Yarmolenko and Mykola Shaparenko worked on an individual programme in the evening. Both were given a day of rest by their doctors and did only running work. Local children were running laps around the stadium with great pleasure.
The start of the evening session was preceded by an installation from Mircea Lucescu, which he held right in the middle of the pitch. In addition to outlining his plans for the training session, Mircea once again addressed the players with a motivational speech.
The coach acknowledged that the training sessions at the training camp are quite hard, requiring the players to do their best and act at maximum speed. However, it is now that the base is being laid, the foundation for the season, and if they train at this pace, they will be able to put pressure on their opponents, because in the championship Dynamo will again have to open up their strong defensive redoubts. The coach stressed that every episode, every attack should be brought to a logical conclusion - shots on goal.
Mister also noted that in the next control match, Dynamo will play an opponent of a completely different level compared to the first three sparring matches. "The Bilo-Syni will measure their strength against the reigning Swiss champions on the day of departure, but they should not discount this and go out on the field with full dedication.
The evening training session was full of game and tactical exercises. The field players worked separately from the goalkeepers for a long time, paying considerable attention to ball control and teamwork. In one of the exercises, the mini-teams had to score goals in narrow makeshift goals created from training posts. At the end of the session, the field players practised shots on goal on the move, confronting the goalkeepers.
On Tuesday, the Kyiv team will hold two training sessions on the pitch, and on Wednesday they will travel to the Swiss city of Biel early in the morning to play against Young Boys.
