Ukrainian journalist and presenter Ihor Tsyganik commented on the defeat of the Ukrainian youth national team in the semi-finals of Euro 2023 by Spain (1-5).
"It was clear that the Ukrainian players came out on the field empty-handed. It took them 10-15 minutes, they scored a goal, and then the team just sailed. Hopefully, we will take revenge at the Olympics. We also lost to the French in the qualifiers, then drew, and then beat them at the Euros. So we hope to take revenge in Spain at the Olympics.
The team will grow up. The class of 2002 is very strong. I think that by the Olympics we will have more players, perhaps born in 2003-2004, who will prove themselves and qualify to go to the Olympics.
We have prospects. The backbone is 2002 - Sudakov, maybe Zabarnyi will be added," Tsyhanyk said on the FootballHub telegram channel.
