Mircea Lucescu is the oldest active coach in the world

Head coach of Dynamo Kyiv Mircea Lucescu has topped the list of the oldest active football coaches on the planet compiled by Nurpirituet.

The top of the list looks like this:

  1. Mircea Lucescu (78*) - Romania, Dynamo (Kyiv)
  2. Roy Hodgson (75) - England, Crystal Palace
  3. Felipe Scolari (74) - Brazil, Atletico Mineiro
  4. Şenol Güneş (71) - Turkey, Besiktas
  5. Bruce Arena (71) - USA, New England
  6. Kurban Berdyev (70) - Turkmenistan, "Makhachkala"
  7. Jorge Luis Pinto (70) - Colombia, Deportivo Cali
  8. Mu-Tsai Chiang (70) - China, "Vikings".

The compilers of the list either did not know about the fact that 72-year-old Myron Markevych led Lviv Karpaty or only took into account the coaches of the teams of the highest divisions.
