Junior Moraes: "I spent almost a year deciding whether to obtain Ukrainian citizenship"

Former Ukraine international forward Junior Moraes told us how he made the decision to obtain Ukrainian citizenship.

"I had my first conversation with Shevchenko when I was playing for Dynamo. For almost a year, I was deciding whether to get citizenship because I wanted to be 100% sure that it was the right choice. As soon as I joined Shakhtar, I had a long-term deal when I was at the peak of my career, then I decided to play for the national team.

It was incredible, because working with Shevchenko the coach is a great memory! And it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I made my debut in the match against Portugal. It was incredible," Moraes told Ogol.com.br.
