Dynamo Kyiv continued their preparations for the new season in Austria. The morning after the 3-3 friendly with Young Boys was dedicated to rest and recovery, as the team returned from Switzerland late at night.
In the evening, Mircea Lucescu's team had a full training session at the stadium near the hotel. The work on the football pitch was preceded by a visit to the gym. The weather in the foothills of Carinthia is changeable, and while a few days ago Dynamo trained in the heat of the day, on Thursday there was a real downpour in the town of St. Fry an der Glan. Its peak came at the height of the Kyiv team's evening work on the pitch. However, this in no way prevented the players from giving their best during the training session.
The session was entirely devoted to game exercises. At first, the field players worked on ball control while the goalkeepers separately performed special goalkeeping exercises. Then there was a full-field game, but it was not an ordinary two-page game - the players had certain restrictions on the number of touches to the ball, which changed from time to time.
The evening session ended with work on individual skills. Split into pairs, the players took turns running out to the goal one-on-one, with one trying to score a goal with the goalkeeper and his opponent trying to prevent him from doing so.
A few players got some extra rest and worked out separately. Meanwhile, Igor Gorbach, the only nominal centre forward currently attending the team's training camp, started running work.
The team's schedule includes two training sessions on Friday.
