Famous Ukrainian coach Oleksandr Babych commented on the off-season losses and gains of Dynamo Kyiv.

- This is a traditional preparation of Mircea Lucescu. Shakhtar played a lot under him in the off-season, and Dynamo played a lot in the previous preparatory periods. At the same time, Lucescu, again, without deviating from his principles, does not specifically prepare the team for control matches. The entire game of the "white and blues" is now against the backdrop of serious running and training work. However, I would note that there is no overload in Dynamo's sparring sessions at the moment. Last summer, Lucescu complained about too many different matches - charity and control matches. But a year ago, it was the case.
- Unlike Shakhtar, Dynamo play not very strong teams (Swiss side Young Boys is certainly an exception) and even make some sparring matches closed. What does this give the White and Blues?
- It's impossible to hide all the information now, but somehow or other, certain data will come to light. In addition, if, after the closed control matches, we hold a meeting open to all - such as with the Young Boys - the problems in the game will be very noticeable. At the moment, Dynamo have an obvious problem in the centre of defence, where there is no established interaction between Popov and Dyachuk. These guys also lack skill. Here, as in the case of Zabarnyi, it takes time and patience for everything to work out and for the pair I mentioned to reach the level of Ilya Zabarnyi, who, despite his age and mistakes, was constantly trusted.
- How useful is Andriy Yarmolenko for Dynamo at the moment?
- His return to Dynamo is a big plus. This is no longer the young Yarmolenko who, above all, wanted to score. Now Andriy is playing more for the team, playing the role of Zidane, that is, he pulls opponents on himself, allowing his teammates to get more space, and, of course, he is the playmaker of this Dynamo. It will be interesting to see how the opponents will be ready for Yarmolenko.
