Ivan Nadein, the president of Veres Rovno, has spoken out on the topic of dismissing now former head coach of the team Yuriy Virt after the end of last season.
Ivan Nadein"We had several scenarios, and we decided that the season-2022/23 Wirt should definitely finish. We rejected the idea of firing the coach during the season. But we decided to do it after the end of the season.
I think we did the right thing. Everything happened beautifully, on a winning note. We made the decision that we needed a change well in advance. Four years is a long time. Anyone burns out during that time. We need new ideas, approaches, we need to change something - the game and the result require it.
With Yuri Nikolaevich (Virt - editor's note) we agreed on everything from the beginning. He promised that he would do everything possible to keep the team in the UPL. And so it happened. And after the knockout matches we talked to him once again and parted, I think, as friends. On a good note, with fulfilled obligations - both from his side and ours," Nadein said in a commentary to the Veres press service.
