Ukraine national youth team midfielder Georgiy Sudakov commented on the team's performance at Euro-2023.
Georgy Sudakov- We finished the Euro with bitterness. It was very difficult, we lost the last game in the semi-finals. We could and wanted more, but we fulfilled a certain task - we reached the Olympics. Let's just say we wrote our name in history. But that's not enough. It was a big step for our team, and we did an incredible job. And the fact that we reached the semi-finals of the Euros is also incredible.
After the match with France we were very happy that we took such a step and won. But after the match with Spain, I was just down psychologically, physically and morally. Somewhere after 60 minutes, when we were losing 3-1, I didn`t want to play, I wanted to finish the game. I realised that it was over. It was a blow. But we need to forget it, make conclusions. There is something to strive for, we must reach a new level to play with such opponents on equal terms," Sudakov said in a commentary to Shakhtar press service.
