Former Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Ihor Haratin, who now plays forPolish side Legia, commented on his former club's performance last season.

Igor Kharatin

- What did you think of Dynamo in general that season?

- It's hard for me to comment without knowing all the reasons. Such seasons happen. They are difficult for the fans to survive, but I can say that Dynamo should come out of it stronger.

This can serve as a boost in the future. I think the players and the management will draw conclusions and the next season will be successful for Dynamo.

- Did you like the way Dynamo played under Shovkovskyi while Lucescu was on medical leave?

- They won several matches. It gave a certain impetus. Winning is the most important thing in sport. I saw the last matches at the training camp, they scored a lot of goals. Now the most important thing for the team is to have a good training camp, so that this work is converted into results.

- In this context, will Yarmolenko's return help Dynamo?

- Yarmolenko's return will be a good boost for Dynamo. It is very good news that such a player is back.

- At one time you played with Andriy, who was in prime form at the time. Will he be enough at the level of today's UPL?

- Yes, he is. Knowing Andriy and his professionalism.

- This summer, Besedin and Burda left Dynamo, with whom you played in the youth teams and made your way to the main team. Why did the most spectacular representatives of your generation fail to gain a foothold in the first team?

- Everyone has their own story. Someone did better, and someone did worse. Injuries, psychological failures, personal reasons. No one will ever know. We only see what is on the surface.

- You left Dynamo in 2016. Wasn't it scary to go on your own at such a young age?

- I wanted to play. I understood that I had no chance at Dynamo, but I had a very strong desire to prove myself at the adult level. I personally made the decision to move on.

- Do you regret this decision?

- I don't know. I was quite ambitious at the time. I didn't look at money at all. I went on loan to the dying Metalist and didn't get a penny. We lost to everyone there, but the point was that I played at the highest level.

This decision contributed to the fact that I was invited by Yuriy Vernydub to join Zorya, which was doing well in Europe and the UPL. I have no regrets.
