Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has commented on his possible appointment as the coach of the German national team.
"It's a great honour for me to work for the German national team, but my commitment is preventing me from doing so. I cannot leave Liverpool now and say that I will lead the national team for a while. It doesn't work that way, and there was no such request.
If at some point there is interest in my services, I must be free. I am responsible to the club," The Athletic quoted the 56-year-old as saying.
It will be recalled that Klopp's current contract with Liverpool runs until June 2026.
