Famous Ukrainian coach Oleg Fedorchuk told us what he thinks about the prospects for the new season in the first league of Lviv's Karpaty under the leadership of famous Ukrainian coach Myron Markevich.
"First place, for sure. A club like Karpaty cannot have two failures. Myron Markevych's experience as not just a coach, but also an organiser, will help.
That school of coaches is different from the young ones, because Markevych, Kvartsianyi and all their peers are organisers and managers. They were not only responsible for the selection, but also for finances, and so on, and they took into account all the nuances. That's why he has enormous experience. There is no more experienced working professional in Ukraine than Myron Bohdanovych.
I am absolutely sure that Lviv will win, because no one will understand if the club does not take first place. And the second success will be the quality of the game. It is very important for Markevych to show that he has been undeservedly neglected.
The team is equipped for the first league and the UPL with a reserve. Considering that there is practically no competition, as it was in those seasons when Veres, Chornomorets and Metalist 1925, Minaj, Rukh, Ingulets and Volyn were fighting at the same time.
But how will Karpaty look like in the UPL with such a squad? Question. We need to strengthen key positions, and I think we will," Fedorchuk said.
