Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko's participation in a charity match in London in support of Ukraine is in doubt. "The Canaries" do not want to risk the health of their leader.

Ukrainian 26-year-old Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko is recovering from a calf muscle injury, which he received at the end of last season. The footballer has not yet taken part in any of the team's friendly games on their pre-season tour to the USA.

At the moment, Zinchenko is not even fully trained, but the Arsenal medical staff is doing everything to prepare him for the start of the new season. The first official game for the Canaries is scheduled for 6 August. Wards of Mikel Arteta will fight with Manchester City for the Super Cup of England.

However, a day before the title match, on August 5, Zinchenko was due to take part in a charity match in London, organised together with Andriy Shevchenko in support of Ukraine. According to NOW.Arsenal, the club will allow Zinchenko to play a maximum of five minutes in the charity match so as not to risk his health ahead of the Super Cup match.
