Liverpool of England has become the sole leader in the fight for Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia, Sky Sport Germany reports.
According to the source, Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp is personally interested in inviting Lavia, and the 19-year-old Belgian has expressed a desire to join the Merseyside team.
"Liverpool have not yet reached a compromise with Southampton on the price of Lavia, but the two clubs are in substantive talks and are expected to agree on a fee of around £50 million.
