Dynamo forward Vladyslav Vanat expressed his opinion about the last season of the Ukrainian championship.
"Thank God that the Ukrainian championship was held during the war. If it had not been, I think there would be no football at all. At first I did not realise how it would be, and then we played five matches and got involved. We held this championship thanks to our warriors. Thank them!
The fourth place of Dynamo is a failure. Even the second place would be a failure. Everyone understood that we had to win this championship. I think there was a psychological problem in the team. Many people did not understand where we would play and live, everyone wanted to be in Ukraine. And by that time we had already been abroad for about 2.5 months. I understand that people may say: "You were sitting abroad, and we are here under bombings". That was the case. But everyone wanted to return to Ukraine.
Injuries and the fact that Tsygankov and Zabarniy, the leaders of the team, left in winter, also influenced. Shaparenko was injured, Buschan didn`t play much. As for me, I am satisfied with myself, but not 100%. If I played more matches, my statistics would be even better. I'm sure of that. I hope next season will be much better," Wanat told Sport Arena TV.
