Yesterday, on 25 July, Panathinaikos defeated Dnipro-1 3-1 in the first match of the second qualifying round of the Champions League.
According to Gazzetta.gr, this victory was the first for Panathinaikos in European competitions in the last 6 years. The last time the club from Athens won in European competitions was on 3 August 2017. Back then, the Greeks beat Gabala 2-1.
As a reminder, the return match between Panathinaikos and Dnipro-1 will take place on 1 August.
