Paris Saint-Germain defender Lucas Hernandez has admitted that he was prepared for criticism from the Parisian club's fans.
"Criticism from the ultras? I don't enjoy it. But I understand these people perfectly. When I was young, I made some clumsy remarks about Marseille and that I would never play for PSG. I understand the whole situation, I came here to show all the sceptical PSG fans that I am here to give my all for the club and its colours. They will see it soon.
I was born in Marseille, but I can't help it. I never lived there, my only memory is when I beat Marseille in the Europa League final against Atletico Madrid. Apart from that, I have no ties to this city, none of my family members live there," L'Equipe quoted Hernandez as saying.
