UEFA has suspended Juventus Turin from participation in European competitions in the season-2023/24 and fined the club €20 million, according to the organisation's official website.
Instance for financial control of clubs following the investigation concluded that Juventus violated the rules of financial fair-play, signed in August 2022.
Note that half of the imposed fine - 10 million euros - is conditional. The Turin club will pay this amount only if its annual financial statements for the financial years 2023, 2024 and 2025 do not comply with UEFA requirements.
Juventus were due to play in the Conference League this season. The club was dropped 10 points from the Serie last season and ended up finishing only 7th. Now Fiorentina will play in the Conference League instead of the Turin side.
