Manchester United head coach Eric Ten Hag has called on his team to "raise the bar" after a successful 2022/23 season.
"I think we've added tremendously in all the components and that was necessary. But we are still not where we want to be and we have to raise the bar. To do this, we need to strive for new levels.
You're always learning and I think English football is evolving. I think you can see that the league is getting stronger and stronger these days. That's definitely true if you compare it to three or four years ago.
Because the EPL is attractive to all the strongest players, all the best coaches, and it is constantly evolving and progressing. It's a real challenge, and I can't wait to do it again next season.
I would not say that this is an "Eric Ten Hag team". This is what top-level football demands. We need to find players or raise the levels of players. I think we added a lot of players during the last season. My expectation is that we can take the next step and raise the level of individual players," The Independent quoted Ten Hag as saying.
