"Kozyryatskyi made fair decisions" - FIFA referee's analysis of Dynamo vs Minaj match

Myroslav Stupar, a well-known referee in the past, gave his opinion on the refereeing in the match of the 1st round of the Ukrainian championship between Dynamo and Minaj in a commentary for 1927.kiev.ua.

- "The referee was the calmest on the pitch, he led the game, worked without significant mistakes and there were few minor errors. Kozyryatsky made fair decisions. Popov's sending off is beyond any doubt. Bandura's sending off was also justified, as was the penalty on Dubinchak - Panasenko didn't even argue, the referee was there and saw everything. The VAR checked it because there was no obvious tripping, but there was a push.

I would like to note that the level of the game is not yet at the level of the Premier League, which we remember a few years ago. Perhaps the teams will play out - it's only the beginning of the season. Then they will get into the game tone of fighting for places and points and improve their game. Nevertheless, Dynamo tried to play fast compared to yesterday's matches. It was noticeable that the team was running, and technical deficiencies are not new at the start of the season," Stupar said.
