Rukh CEO Igor Dedyshyn spoke about the legal battle with Nigerian Enobahar Bright.
Igor Dedyshyn- Igor Mikhailovich, Rukh legionnaire Enobahar Bright is no longer playing for the team, but he is still under contract with the club. What happened to him?
- Back in winter he didn`t return to the team`s location. Now we are solving the issue of bringing him to responsibility for unauthorised leaving the location of the team. In fact, he unilaterally cancelled the contract.
- Are you already conducting legal proceedings with him ?
- Now we are preparing to submit all the documents to the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber. He and his agent are trying to reach an agreement. We'll see if they succeed. But we are determined to go to FIFA.
- And what would be the settlement? He'll play his time with the team?
- No, we want to compensate him according to his contract.
- Is the compensation tied to his salary for the relevant period ?
- I don't remember these details. You have to look at the contract, there each player's compensation is specified individually. And it depends on the salary and costs.
- If you agree without court, Enobakhar will not have to pay court fees?
- As far as I know, there is a club that is ready to pay some money for him. If it suits us, we can settle amicably. If not, we will file a complaint to FIFA.
- It's not a Ukrainian club ?
- No, it is not Ukrainian. There will be no other details about the club.
- Is the Brazilian defender Jefferson Vinicius still in the team ?
- His contract was cancelled in the summer by agreement of the parties. We signed a contract for two and a half years in winter, but there was a so-called probation period - six months. That was the agreement with him and his agent. That is, if he takes a chance, we continue the contract. But for six months he has not played a single match.
- There are still foreigners in the club on contracts, who played in that, underplayed championship-2021/2022?
- Yes, it is Senegalese defender El Hadji Pape Diaw. He fell under FIFA rules and left the club without compensation, right after the war started. At first we gave him on loan for six months to Polish "Arka" from Gdynia. And then for a year to FC Laval, in the French Ligue 2. This summer we had contacts, but he refuses to go to Ukraine.
- The club does not receive any compensation ?
- None. Like Shakhtar, by the same rule, we did not receive anything. All Ukrainian clubs are in the same situation, unfortunately.
- How long was the contract for ?
- For three years. One and a half more to go. If the war ends sooner, he will come back. There is little hope. He has already left FC Laval, but if he signs a new contract with someone for a year according to the FIFA rule, he will stay for six months at best.
- Did he come to "Ruh" as a free agent?
- No, we bought him from Zalgiris(according to Transfermarkt website for 100 thousand euros - author).
- Did some of the legionnaires come back ?
- After the war all the legionnaires left. But then four returned - Alvarenga, Talles, Edson and Solomon.
